Myself: (Greeting Salam) May I come, sir?

Board: Yes, come in. Take your seat.

Myself: (Sitting) Thank you, sir.

Board: (One of the three) Give your papers. (One of the rest two) What are you doing right now (profession)?

Myself: I am working as an Assistant Teacher (English) at an MPO secondary school in Chapainawabganj recommended by NTRCA in the 2nd cycle in 2019.

Board: That means you are already a teacher. And now you want to be a lecturer, right?

Myself: Exactly, Sir.

Board: Ok, then do you have knowledge on the syllabus HSC English?

Myself: Yes, sir. I teach HSC grammar.

Board: Okay, then you have idea about changing sentence?

Myself: Sure, sir.

Board: what is taught in this part?

Myself: Changing of different kinds of sentences are taught, for example, structural sentences: simple, complex, compound; functional sentences: assertive, negative interrogative, imperative, exclamatory; voice: active, passive; degree: positive, comparative, superlative….

Board: okay, make sentence with ‘very few’.

Myself: Very few players are as popular as Shakib Al Hasan in Bangladesh.

Board: Make it comparative.

Myself: Shakib Al Hasan is more popular than most other players in Bangladesh.

Board: Make it superlative.

Myself: Shakib Al Hasan is one of the most popular players in Bangladesh.

Board: Players or player (to check my confidence level)?

Myself: Sir, players.

Board: Ok, fine.

Myself: Thank you, sir. After ‘one of’, plural noun is used.

Board: Translate ‘ আমাকে একটা বসার চেয়ার দাও’.

Myself: Please give me a chair to sit on.

Board: (Again translation) আমাকে লেখার খাতা দাও.

Myself: Please give me paper to write with.

Board: (Translate) আমাকে একটি থাকার ঘর দাও.

Myself: Please give me a room to stay in/live in.

Board: (Seems satisfied) Okay, you can go now. Take your papers.

Myself: Thank you, sir. (Greeting Salam I left the board).

NB: The total interaction was held both in English and Bangla. It is because the interviewer was using Bangla and encouraged me to do so. The interviewer was quite helping minded and cooperative.

Above all, আলহামদুলিল্লাহ! 👍
